CFLs Not So Green?

If you've been paying attention to the news, you've probably heard about compact fluorescent light bulbs, or CFLs, and how great they are at saving energy. But new research is showing that disposing of them might turn into a big headache. These light bulbs contain mercury, and a very small amount can contaminate a very large area. And mercury exposure can cause brain damage.

This article from MSNBC has a good guide about what to do if you should accidentally break a CFL in your home and the proper disposal methods. Also, you should research the best bulb disposal locations in your neighborhood, because the last thing you want to do is just throw it in with your regular garbage.
