Propose, Already!
If you’ve been in a relationship for awhile and are wondering when the right time is to propose, three years seems to be the magic timeframe. A study by National Wedding (a wedding planning company) reveals that the average guy will propose two years, 11 months and eight days into the relationship (just roughly estimating, of course).
Typically, women are ready to get married much sooner, but don’t think that the guys are just dragging their feet! There’s a great deal of thought that goes into popping the question—most men want to be certain of their job security and their ability to care for a family prior to walking down the aisle.
So if you’ve been together just a few months and are already thinking about forever, is it too soon? Not at all! If you know that this is the person you want to be with, then go for it. If you’re thinking three years doesn’t sound quite long enough, however, experts agree that you should seriously consider the relationship before proceeding into marriage. [New York Post]
