Jenny McCarthy doesn't like to start an argument, but she's not going to back away from the fight to find a cure for autism. She's quickly become a powerful voice in the battle being waged by an alarming number of families across America. After the success of her 2007 book, Louder Than Words, about her own journey to treat her son's autism, she's shining a light on other mothers fighting the medical establishment to find treatments for their children.

Her new book, Mother Warriors, not only shares the stories of these powerful parents, but also shares the tips and strategies they've learned to help others find the right medical care for their children.

On this episode of Change Nation, Jenny talks about the controversy over her argument that autism can be treated with diet and vitamins, and the inspiration she finds in the stories of other families fighting for their children's lives.

This was very enlightening. I am a teacher, and our schools are very concerned about the rise in Autism. I will pass this book and the site Generation Rescue on to our administration. I firmly believe that something has happened in the environment to cause this massive epidemic. It makes perfect sense that it is rooted in want we consume. Thank you so much for the hope to cure and possibly turn this problem around for future generations.

Jenny is so lively and inspiring...it's amazing how far she's come in her own life and to hear her talk about uniting moms and giving them resources and choices for treating autism is amazing. What a wonderful interview!
