Pet-Friendliest City

One would think that a crowded metropolis would be the last destination chosen as pet-friendly, but the readers of Animal Fair magazine think New York is the best destination for four-legged friends. The magazine named its Dog Bone Award winners recently, and also gave props to Continental as the best airline for animals and the Driskill hotel in Austin for the best place to bed down with Rover.

New York is full of pet-friendly hotels, stores with pet items and gourmet treats and even a pet taxi service—and traveling with a pet is definitely a big consideration for may owners. But is it really the friendliest city for animals? What do you think? [New York Times]
