Read lawn care labels carefully

If you're considering using lawn care and garden fertilizer products, be sure to read the labels carefully and follow safe practices for how much to use, when, where, etc. Be aware the chemicals in these products can be dangerous to your pets.

They don't have to eat the products to be be harmed. If they walk or roll on the grass and get any of it on their paws or coats, they can easily get some of it in their bodies by licking themselves.
