Real Change
I was particularly struck by Obama’s speech after yesterday’s Pennsylvania primary. In it, he said:
"I have seen time and time again that real change doesn't begin in the halls of Washington, but on the streets of America. It doesn't happen from the top down, but it happens from the bottom up."
Obama reminds us that real change starts with you—your choices, your decisions, with what you believe. We must never assume that we are too small, too poor, too old (or too whatever) to contribute to change. It's important to remember that any change you make is never made in isolation—there is a ripple effect that follows any change you decide to make.
Think about it, if you lose weight, others are affected. If you get divorced, if you start a business or if you start living spiritually, there are always people and things that are affected by your choices and decisions.
Now imagine the ripple effect of thousands or even millions making small changes in their life—yes we can make a difference. Check out our Everyday Change tips. Please sign up and let your friends know they too can join The Change Movement.
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." —Margaret Mead
