In the truest spirit of going green, Ron Snyder, the CEO of Crocs (those brightly colored clogs found on everyone from toddlers to gardeners to chefs), has created SolesUnited, a new company dedicated to recycling old Crocs into brand new shoes for those in need.

A clear Change Optimist, Synder recently told Ode Magazine, “We plan to essentially shoe the world.” Through the non-profit SolesUnited, donated Crocs are turned into brand new clogs that are sent to Africa and the Dominican Republic. This is an environmental win-win as it keeps the resin-based Crocs out of landfills and provides new footwear to those who need them desperately. Got an old pair? Get involved!
