Daddy's Home!

Real life has always been a comedy gold mine, especially where the trials and tribulations of home are concerned. As with TV and video, comic strips look to trends for new material.

Such is the case with the new syndicated comic “Daddy’s Home” by Tony Rubino and Gary Markstein that delves into the lifestyle of the stay-at-home dad . Having run for a few weeks now, the panels are getting some good and some negative feedback. Those who don’t like the strip say that it trivializes the stay-at-home parent, and relies on stereotypical bad dad behavior (think cooking catastrophes and inability to juggle multiple responsibilities) that don’t address how hard it really is to decide to be the one to stay at home.

You can read an interview with the creator of the strip here and see the strip itself here.
