Dennis Quaid Fights Back

It’s unimaginable that the day you become a parent could also be the day you lose a child. Almost a year after the near death of his newborn twins, new dad Dennis Quaid speaks out in his first television interview about the potentially tragic hospital mishap. His twins were given almost 1,000 times the recommended dose of a blood thinner, heparin, when they were just 14 days old. Claiming medical mistakes to be grossly under-publicized, Quaid railed against Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on a recent episode of “60 Minutes.” Thankfully, the children are safe and well at home with Quaid and his wife, but the actor has become a crusader for all parents who want to be able to trust their medical provider.
