What to Expect When Your Wife's Expecting...

Dads, did you know there's a slew of parenting books out there geared toward you? Books that aren't pink and frilly, and make no mention of the joys of breastfeeding? Dad-friendly books that kick butt and will make themselves at home on your "man" shelf? New dads find themselves just as baffled by child rearing as women do, so you should definitely have some help on hand!

With all the books out there on how to be a fantastic mother, it's nice to know that publishers have got some reads for good old Dad too. After all, according to some studies, moms are STILL doing five times the child rearing than dads.

Here are some books worth taking a look at:

Keeping the Baby Alive Until your Wife Gets Home by Walter Rork.
Alterna-Dad: One Families Struggle to Raise a Cool Kid in America, by Neal Pollack.

You're bound to learn more about being a daddy than you could reading What to Expect, and perhaps you'll embrace the experience a bit more knowing other men like you, are out there doing it, and writing about it. Feel free to share other books you have found that have changed your parenting perspective, from a dad's point of view.
