Do you cook fresh foods for your baby or do you use store bought baby food?
I have two sisters. One of them went the route of steaming and pureeing vegetables and the other sister opened up jars of baby food. I don't know that it made any difference in the health or personalities of their children.
I guess it's personal preference. Do doctors recommend one way or the other?
I make all my baby food at home so far (except the rice cereal) Here is the site I use that suggest what foods are best for what ages and give tips on preparing it. Link
It has surprised me how easy so foods really are! I just freeze my baby food in ice cube trays and then pop them into ziplock bags in the freezer till I need them.
I have been toying with the idea of making homemade baby food. I've heard that it's less expensive than premade stuff. Like capmommy1, I will probably wind up doing a combo.
I'm a grandmother and greatgrandmother. I always made the food for my babies and still do for any of the grandbabies when they are here...there are no picky eaters in our family! What ever I made for dinner the babies had, too...my blender was my best friend!!!
My Mom made all homemade baby food for me. I'll be doing a combo of homemade and store bought for my baby, depending on how time consuming the food prep turns out to be. You can buy handy baby food making "kits" including storage trays and instructions.
