Question:Should I stay with someone that doesn't stand up for me?

My boyfriend still wants to be friends with ex. I was fine with it until I would see her at functions throught the year and she would go out of her way to be rude to me in front of his friends and my boyfriend didn't stick up for me. I had to do our first camping trip with her around, birthdays, baby showers pretty much a function a month. They have the same friends and we live in a small community so the likehood of bumping into the ex is high.

We've been together for over a year now and she continues to contact him twice a month. I've asked him to put his foot down and tell her to stop contacting him but he says he wants to remain friends. I'm angry at him because doesn't stick up for me and I'm angry at her for constantly intruding in our relationship.
We have been together for a year. Him and his ex were never married, they were together for 12 years and when I met him they had been seperated for 2 years.
He says he loves me but him not standing up for me doesn't make me feel loved. Now I'm just angry all the time :(
Do I need to move on?
