I have been with my boyfriend for over a year and everytime I talk about the future he goes quiet or irritated. Two years before he met me he was in a relationship of 12 years which he says he was unhappy in. We don't live together and he doesn't want me to move in anytime soon, which I told him I can understand that he's not ready for that. However, whenever I talk about the future or I make plans of helping him with his house (it needs some renovating) he gets irritated. For example he'll talk about painting a room in the house and I offer to help him do it and he says that now isn't a good time. He wanted to have a garden so I offered to help him and he says maybe a garden isn't a good idea. I feel like I want to be with someone who wants to create something together and he just keeps putting it off till later? Is it a sign that he doesn't want a future with me?
