Question:Best friends forever?

Have you remained friends with people you've dated and broken up with?

Answer:

Its rare, but it can happen. Usually depends on how long the relationship lasted and when you were together. For instance, I am on good terms with a couple of exes from college/early 20s but it took us some years to get there. In general, I'd say its best to simply move on—usually when someone wants to be friends, they are hoping for reconciliation. Making a clean break allows you to heal and find someone new.
