How did you know when it was time to break up?
We're working on a theme here ... it's about intuition... that voice inside your head, that stomach that won't settle, that nagging ache you can't quite shake.
How has your intuition played a part in your break ups over the years?
Yeah, definitely, intuition! But even those feelings aren't enough sometimes to make you act! I feel like I waited to long with my long-term bf, but no regrets.
Intuition is almost always right in relationships. We intuit the things that are wrong, then we see the signs. It usually doesn't take me very long to get from point A to point B—if I know something is up I call it out, and if it breaks things up, so be it.
I knew on my first date with my ex that he was bad news. We were driving to the movies and all of a sudden he said, "so, what drugs have you done?" Talk about a red flag! But I just laughed it off. He didn't end up having a drug problem, but he drank waaaaaaay too much.
I think we all get these signs much sooner than we'd like to admit. Someone once told me that human beings are the only animals who choose to ignore our own intuition.
