Did you marry your best friend? Or did you marry for lust?
I feel like I got married for the wrong reasons and I wonder how I can make it better? We met online and we were together for 3 months when I got pregnant. Things went downhill from there. The older I get the more I realize we do not have anything in common. We do not talk or do anything together. It seems all we do is fight. So I am just wondering how many people feel like they married there best friend? Did it last? If you married out of lust, are you still together? How did you make it work? I have tried and tried and not sure how much longer I can try.
I've met quite a few couples who have gotten together through arranged marriages. One friend in particular got married after only having met her husband once and now she says she's insanely happy. I think the fact that they knew going into it that they were going to have to work towards a partnership and not worry about the lust aspect of it allowed them to develop the relationship over time.
I also agree with Olivia, however, when she says that both parties have to be committed.
