Expect Your Emotions to Fluctuate

Alison_James

The first few weeks following a breakup can feel a bit like chronic PMS.  One minute you can't stop crying, the next minute you feel so angry you could scream.  This emotional roller coaster is very normal so don't be alarmed.  You aren't losing your mind.  It just feels like it right now.

When does it stop? This hurts alot. I have moments of feeling half decent recently, which started once I stopped calling him and all contact was severed. Working hard in therapy and going to alanon. I need to keep the focus on me and what i want, not what he needs to be doing in his life. It's just sad.
