A Cure for Multiple Razor Personality

You need an ultra-close shave and fast. You reach for the new razor bag—empty. Four used razors are scattered around the shower. Too dull…not much of a strip left on this one…too hairy….

It’s a crapshoot, but you’re going to have to pick one.

Next round, keep it simple. Purchase a reusable razor and a pack of refills. Use that one razor, and when you’re ready for a new one, it’s out with the old blade and in with the new. Not only will you end razor confusion, you’ll be reducing material waste. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, we toss about two billion plastic razors a year.

If you really want to help the environment, start using an old-fashioned straight razor and soap (vegetable-based is greenest). It actually offers a closer shave than any store-bought razor, disposable or otherwise.
