First Impressions.
The idea just sort of came to me when I was visiting my cousin in Albuquerque. She was making these corn enchiladas. Man, I’m getting hungry just thinking about those things. So anyway, she grabs some dough and tries to roll it into a ball, but it doesn’t hold together. They get crumbly if you don’t add enough water, you know. So then—hey wait, where are you going?
Dude/tte, you need to work on your elevator pitch. You should be able to describe your idea, business or current job in the time it takes to ride an elevator—about 30 seconds. After that, you’ve lost your audience.
Even the smoothest talkers stumble over their words under pressure. Memorize and practice the perfect pitch so you’re ready any time, anywhere. For more info, Google “elevator pitch.”
