The One Thing that Works to Find a Job
When you find yourself in a place of lack—for example, you've lost your job—the quickest path to abundance is to limit the lack you let into your life. As I discussed with radio show host, Koren Motekaitis, on How She Really Does It, there is no boundary more important than the one that controls what you let into your mind and your space.
I coached a lot of people who lost their jobs last year, and the advice I gave them wasn't "fix your resume," "get your hair cut" or any advice like that. Instead, I told them this. Until you find a job, you're not allowed to look at the news, listen to the radio, read the newspaper and so on. There must be no input of lack into your life. That way, no one can tell you that there are no jobs, that people are getting laid off or that the markets are down. Within three months, every single one of these people had found a job!
When you see fear, you feel fear. When you see lack, you feel lack. Like the food you choose to eat, be really, really mindful of what you let in, because that is something you can control. The minute you start feeding yourself with a different type of mental thought, that's when things begin to change.
