If the Shoe Fits...
What if you could change your look instantly and turn those trendy flats into spiky heels? Camileon Heels is making it possible, with adjustable heels that can go from a short 1 ½ inches to a taller 3 ¼ inches. Possibly the best part of this new concept is how it originated (and works): the CEO’s brother came up with it while pondering his son’s Transformers toys.
Okay, maybe you aren’t a heel kind of girl. What about changing the color of your shoes by altering the “skin” of the shoe? Skins Footwear gives you this option, while Switchflops does the same thing for flip flops specifically.
Perhaps the people who need changeable shoes the most are kids, who can change sizes as quickly as every few months. Inchworm shoes “grow with a child’s foot” from ages three to nine, using a button mechanism to gradually expand the shoe when necessary. While all of these shoes sound like a better investment, even if they do come with a higher price tag, do you think they’ll catch on? [USA Today]
