"I wish I had enough words to express what your book has done for me. Thank you over and over. It's like a guidebook to life. When I don't remember how to navigate, or even that I can, it reminds me. What a precious gift."-Deborah

Is the Economy Ruining Your Style?

Is the Economy Ruining Your Style?

Gym membership, a nip and tuck, one or two fad diets: all of these extras are getting cut from personal budgets as the economy slows down. According to USA Today, 53% of plastic surgeons have watched their businesses crawl to a snail's pace. Surprisingly, however, the decrease in these areas is not exclusively due to money issues; for cosmetic procedures, it’s also the inability to take time off from work to recover.

Non-surgical options like Botox are actually seeing some growth, as they are relatively simple to perform and endure, but one surgeon feels reassured that the normal ebb and flow of the stock market and economy will eventually result in growth everywhere again.

Belonging to a gym seems like a fairly cheap “extra” considering alternative ideas to changing your look. But that $35 or more a month is deceiving if you take into consideration the cost of driving to a gym in the first place. Suddenly, working up a sweat for an hour seems too luxurious an activity!
