My Lip Gloss Isn't Poppin'
Sure, getting a new lip gloss color is a great way to change your look without blowing a ton of cash. But some outlets are looking at the other things that lip gloss can do—from the revolutionary to the deadly.
Some magazines are advertising that Too Faced FUZE Slenderize Guilt-Free Lip gloss can help people curb their appetites and lose weight. Finally, someone realized that lip gloss was the answer to the obesity problem in this country…or at least a tool in the larger war on fat.
On the other hand, there’s this report this morning that lip gloss (the ones that don’t have SPF protection) can cause skin cancer because the shiny products can amplify the sun’s rays and cause damage.
So what gives? Is lip gloss the key to being beautiful and thin, or a gateway to a dangerous health diagnosis? That question won’t likely be answered soon, but in the mean time you probably should lay off the shiny stuff in favor of lip protection with an SPF of 15 or higher. After all, no one is going to want to kiss lips that are blistered and disfigured because you didn’t want to look unfashionable.
