Organize your clothes in outfits

letitgo

A friend of mine does this and it makes a lot of sense. While I tend to hang all my pants together, tops together, short stuff in one place, long stuff in another, she organizes her clothes by how she wears them ... together in outfits, so she can see what goes with what and how things match and pair. It also helps her with shopping ... she tends to buy less one-off pieces because she thinks in terms of what is needed to complement the already existing outfits she has.

That is so smart. I do tend to wear certain shirts with certain skirts/pants b/c of specific color schemes. Aren't there those hangers too that have a regular one on top and pants on the bottom?

I love that idea. I am in the middle of reduing my closet. I have all the first alfits together and the extra blouses to go with the pants put together and then the next group so I get variation and easy sight when getting out my alfits the night before. I put my shoes and even purse (if I am going to change it) and jewelry so in the morning if things get rushed I still go out put together(looking that way anyway).

What great advice, I'm going to try that!
