Dating on a Budget
Hey, we know times are tough—which can make taking out that special someone you met online really daunting. You want to impress when you finally meet face to face but you don't want to go broke! No worries. We’ve found some great tips to help you make a great impression on that first date and not break the bank doing it. You can thank us later!
Become a tourist
There have got to be parts of your city or town you've never seen, or haven't taken advantage of in awhile. Buy a guidebook and discover the city you live in together. Visit each other’s favorite spots and get to know one another on a totally new level.
Rent a rowboat
On a sunny day, check out the prices for a rowboat—they can often be found pretty cheap—and float down a nearby river or lake. Take some books and read to each other, or just talk. It’s a cheap way to have a nice relaxing date.
Pack a picnic
Need we really say more??? Picnics can be super-relaxing and romantic. Just remember to pack a little bug spray, and pick up all your belongings when you leave. If the weather's bad, cook a meal together indoors and get a carpet picnic going.
Have a laugh
The tickets for these are usually inexpensive (not counting big comedy stars) and it’s more interactive than just seeing a movie. Plus, even if the show is terrible, at least you’ll get to laugh together at how bad it is. Also, try local improv comedy shows, which are sometimes free.

Going to the beach to watch the sunset or taking a hike in the woods ... both activities cost nothing and I really enjoy nature, so it was fun for me.
