Can I share something that has made a remarkable difference in my 10 year battle with depression? Because of the way our state health system works it takes a very long time to see a Psychiatrist.When I did eventually make it, my wonderful Professor suggested that I try high doses of omega 3. I cannot tell you all what a difference this has made to me, where conventional drugs have failed.
There is a lot of research out there on the web which seems to back up my experience.
For me, the next stage is rebuilding my life and connecting again with people. I did isolate myself in an extreme way. I am very, very blessed to have had a group of good friends and a very loving husband to stick with me.My heart goes out to anyone of you struggling with this horrible illness. Thank you for the infromation on Omega 3's. I plan on trying this along with increasing my B6 vitamin intake, another tip shared on this site.
I think that's wonderful. I'm a big believer in using food (diet and exercise) before popping pills.
