Loving Letting Go
Do you know what it's like to search for the perfect pair of running shoes? You go from store to store, hoping each new stop will be the place you'll be able to find a pair of extra wide sneakers with glow-in-the-dark laces. And then one day, you stop by the department store to pick up a tie. You aren't even thinking about shoes, but alas, you spy your dream pair on the sale rack and they're just your size!
Finding romance often happens in just the same way. Just as you let your guard down and leave your fate up to the universe, a match you were never expecting will come your way.
Jan Masters can certainly attest to the running-shoe theory. The 46-year-old Brit recently decided to give up her quest of becoming happily remarried. "By bumping serious relationships off the agenda, I let the rope go in the whole tug-of-love game and after years of quiet, often unexpressed yearning to settle down, it came as quite a relief," she writes.
Just as Masters discovered a love of the "freemale" lifestyle, in which she traveled everywhere she pleased and spent nights in her flat in charge of her own remote control, she met her soon-to-be husband. It should be noted that she met him on a night that she opted to go to the opera—alone!
When you're in love with your life, it shows. You'll attract more people with your positive attitude and one of them might just be the love of your life. Do you think it's important to enjoy the single life? [The Daily Mail]
I am looking forward to finding out!!
