A Practical Plan for Finding that Special Someone

FitnessQueen

Get out there! Try posting an online profile on the dating web site of your choice. Join a club. Sip an espresso at a coffee shop. Go to a religious service. The only way you’re guaranteed not to meet someone is by sitting at home and hanging out with the latest episode of "The Hills."

I moved into a neighborhood with a coffee shop/dating service that was quite unique. You could flip thru binders of profiles people completed and the people who worked at the cafe would broker a meeting. That is if they also wanted to meet you. I actually had three blind dates this way that were all disastrous in varying degrees, but it was a good lesson for me in taking chances and pushing myself outside my comfort zone.

I've never actually met someone spontaneously while sipping an espresso (or any other kind of drink). I think I'm giving off the 'leave me alone i'm enjoying this cup of coffee' vibe.

I've sipped HUNDREDS of espressos yet the "meeting someone in a coffee shop thing" has never worked for me! I'm beginning to think it's all a myth...
