Back to School
Before the school year really begins (and for many kids it might have already started), it’s important to get your household organized. The beginning of any school year is filled with supply-shopping, surprise events, schedules and an unpredictable workload. Be ready!
Kim Cosentino, the head of an organizing business called The De-Clutter Box suggests buying a calendar that will keep all appointments, parent-teacher meetings, field trips and sporting events in one place. Kids come home with a plethora of papers, which are just asking to get lost in the shuffle. Transfer important dates immediately to the calendar and you won’t forget Student Art Night!
For the more cumbersome school items like coats, backpacks and materials, designate a “drop-off” space in the house and make sure the kids understand the system. Do you have any organizational tips or systems that work for back to school? Do you try to get your kids involved in the organizing process? [Statesman Journal]
