Garage Organization

For many Americans, the usual dumping ground for miscellaneous junk is the garage. And it always seems to be the last place that gets attention…until now.

There are lots of companies out there devoted to helping you get your garage organized! CBS' “The Early Show” visited one family whose garage was out of control and with the help of GarageTek, a custom garage organization company, they were able to get their space from chaotic to calm in two days.

But you don’t need a company to come in and overhaul your garage to get organized. Go through everything in the space and sort it, then go to Home Depot or The Container Store and ask a customer service person for their advice on organization helpers. Sometimes, just a few shelves and boxes can go a long way.

“Why do I need a clean garage?” you might ask. With a clean garage, you’ll not only save time looking for the things you need but you might even get to use it for what it is intended for—storing your car. [CBS News]

It looks like GarageTek is not in my area. Does anyone know of an reasonably priced set of solutions for organizing garages?
