Spring Cleaning in the Air
Smell that? The clean, crisp, lavender-y, lemony, fresh scent that can only mean spring and…spring cleaning? It’s that time again—every year around now, you’re probably accustomed to opening up the window, whipping out the cleaning supplies and going to town on your living space for a week or two.
Spring cleaning is pretty similar to just getting organized, except that spring cleaning implies you will go through everything in your house. In order to keep your head from exploding and causing more of a mess, here are some quick tips from the National Association of Professional Organizers to help you out:
BEDROOM:
* Get rid of clothing you haven’t worn in a year. You’re likely never to wear it.
* Organize like things together in your closet. Keep all your pants together and hung separately from your shirts or accessories.
HOME OFFICE:
Get a shredder and use it frequently. Don’t let junk mail or unimportant letters clutter your workspace.
* Store any office supplies you don’t use on a regular basis.
GARAGE:
* Throw out things that don’t work anymore. That might eliminate most of the things in your garage!
