Have you started doing anything to reduce your impact?
Call it going green, carbon footprint, impact ... any thing you can do will make a difference.
I use a coffee cup at work instead of the styrofoam ones they have here. I just bought canvas bags for groceries. I now have a clothesline and will use it this summer. We replaced a few bulbs with compact fluourescents lately. I also try to buy refills instead of buying new plastic bottles of fabric softener, etc. My newest accomplishment is using a plastic cup at work for water from the water fountain instead of buying bottled water constantly.
I bought an EnergyStar washer and I use a clothesline to dry all my clothes. I bring a canvas bag to the grocery store. I work from home and drive a small car. I buy local and organic whenever it's available. I eat meat rarely. I use only green products to clean my house and to do my laundry. I reuse my plastic water bottles, but I'm thinking about replacing them with glass. I bring a reusable plastic cup with me to the coffee house for my to go lattes. I use compact fluorescents. I had no children.
It feels like a lot and yet there's so much more that can be done.
Every time I add something new, it becomes easier to add another thing.
