Answer:

I definitely consider myself more spiritual than religious. I've said that for years. I have God in my heart and He's with me everywhere I go. I don't need to be in a building on Sunday morning to feel him. I grew up Methodist and later converted to Catholic when I got married and we had children. The members in my little community are very self-righteous and I feel very judged by them. That's when I decided I needed to find a different way and have become much more spiritual.

Answer:

I grew up Catholic and I definitely appreciate all of the values and traditions that came along with it. However, as I've gotten older I've learned so much about other religions and belief systems that I find it hard to adhere to the beliefs of just one. I usually tend to think of religion in terms of physical earthly aspects like books and churches and ceremonies and spirituality as more ethereal things like prayers, positive thinking and karma.
