Hindsight Is 20/20

Hindsight Is 20/20

How many times have you said, “Hindsight is 20/20”? You can acknowledge your actions after the fact, but sometimes can’t quite put your finger on why you did (or didn’t do) something. You could have even hurt someone.

NewsOK looks at what it takes to make change easier and concludes that it’s courage: “Courage is not the opposite of fear. Courage is feeling the fear and not letting the feelings of fear keep you from stepping out in a different direction.” Rather than focusing on beating yourself up over repeatedly making mistakes, it’s important to have the courage to reflect and then act. Don’t just say, “Why do I do that?” Really think about it and then move forward with some kind of plan of attack.

The article mentions a comparison to someone who wants to get good at skiing. You know you will never become a strong skier without falling. “Wise are those who understand that and are not surprised when it happens, but instead have a plan to take care of themselves when it happens and are determined to get up and try again.”

When was the last time you “fell?” Were you scared? How did it turn out? Share below—we learn from each other! [NewsOK]
