Get your mamogram ASAP if you're in your early 40s and have never had one. I was diagnosed with cancer at age 42 - with no family history at all and no symptoms. It was my first baseline mamogram and it probably saved me life.

Experts say once per year after the age of 40. You may get them earlier if you have a family history of breast cancer.
