Bridal Bootcamp

Bridal Bootcamp

Sure, marriage has its ups and downs. You know it, accept it and are mentally ready. But did you ever think it would be you going up and down—to do pushups?! Yep, in honor of physical preparation for your big day, you can train by attending a bridal boot camp. Oh yeah, you might just shrink one dress size while you’re at it.

A British reporter recently took the Bridget Jones route and documented her experience during a seven-day stint at The Camp, a residential program based in Galloway, Scotland.

“The thing is, I'm more Private Benjamin than GI Jane. I like Pilates and PowerPlate, exercises that don't involve breaking a sweat. How would I get on at a brutal bridal boot camp?” she says in the oh-so-cheeky British manner that makes it seem like working your butt off for eight hours a day would be just lovely.

You don’t have to be a Brit to feel the pain at a bridal boot camp. There are several programs here in the United States, and some of them even have workouts you can do at home. Check out Bridalbootcamponline.com or Trainer90210.com to see if there’s a camp that works for you. And after all those reps, you need to repeat one more thing: come back here and tell us how fabulous you feel! [The Daily Telegraph]
