"Ever since I subscribed to your site the daily reminders are the only thing I read apart from email and the NY Times headlines and weather. I am hugely critical of most self-help information, but this is not what your site is. I save 1 in 2 of these and have kept a library folder. They are intelligent, concise, relevant and are pitched at exactly the right level." -Martin Chalk, CEO, Balance Water

Let Them Eat Cake!

Let Them Eat Cake!

Some thieves in Oshkosh, WI, are in for a serious visit from the karma police. When the owners of the La Sure Bakery found that their store had been robbed, they realized that the only thing that had been stolen was their fire safe. The contents, all of the nearly 200 hand-written contracts for this summer and next, will surely be of no use to the thieves. However, for the parties attached to the orders, the robbery will surely add up to a big headache.

Happily, the case of the stolen cake receipts has already made it to the local news and word will likely travel fast throughout the small community. One fortuitous couple happened to be in town for one day tying up loose ends in their wedding planning for their May 31 wedding. They arrived the day after the robbery and were able to reorder their cake. [Wbay.com]
