Defining a Dream

Sometimes it’s hard to define your dreams. You might have a vague idea of a dream, such as working with kids or being creative, but what exactly is your dream?

If you’re having trouble, why not act like a kid? Think about it—when you were a kid, you were probably full of ideas and dreams for your future, and those dreams all seemed attainable. Why can’t you do the same thing now as an adult?

Take some time today to act like a kid—do some painting or drawing, play a game or whip out some old home movies. If you need help, watch this Internet Archive video from 1956, called “Disneyland Dreams.” The family in the movie won a free trip to Disneyland after entering a Scotch Tape contest, and they admit it was an “impossible dream come true.” If their impossible dream can come true, why can’t yours?
