With the rising cost of college tuition, easy access to credit cards and little to no knowledge about financial planning, it’s no wonder that young people are facing a serious debt dilemma as they try to begin their adult lives.
USA Today has tracked six young people from across the country as they each try to dig themselves out of debt. Some have taken out loans for school and are working two jobs to pay back what they owe. Others have had to move back in with their parents to save money. While each serves as a cautionary tale, the goals they have been given by financial advisers for getting back on track do make a seemingly impossible task seem a little easier.
