Peacock Mania
One of Elvis’ favorite performance costumes—the infamous peacock jumpsuit—sold for a record $300,000. This is the largest sum garnered to date by any Elvis memorabilia and we have to say, it makes us all shook up!
Sure, the lure to own a piece of The King is strong. But, $300,000 on a jumpsuit? Not even his antique car fetched that much. What do you think? Would you spend that much on something owned by Elvis, or any other celebrity for that matter? Let us know if you think memorabilia is a good investment! [LA Times]
