Now You're In Business!
Implementing Your New Business Plan
Ross urges entrepreneurs to have realistic expectations for their new businesses, and to stick with their plans for the long haul. “If you have commitment and a brilliant idea, then the will to stick with it for a reasonable amount of time is paramount,” she explains. “It can be a lonely time, so be sure to establish a reliable cheering section.”
According to Diana Ennen, president and owner of Virtual Word Publishing, which specializes in publishing and marketing fiction and non-fiction books, it’s important to make a checklist of everything you need to accomplish in order to get started. “Write it all down in detail, and as you accomplish each task, mark it off,” she suggests. “Not only does this help in remembering the important business steps, but there is such a great sense of accomplishment when you get to check things off. Often times when you start a business, it can get overwhelming, but when you take it step-by-step, you feel more in control.”
Diana also suggests you take advantage of any and all networking opportunities that come your way. “One of the best things I’ve done in starting and operating my business was to do a lot of networking online,” she says. “I learned so much from those who were doing the same thing.” She made connections and friendships, which not only lead to additional clients, but lifetime friendships. “Get involved and you can truly see your business thrive,” she says.
Very Helpful. I will make this list, and keep it as part of the OVERALL Plan.
Thankyou.
