Coming to an HDTV Near You

Coming to an HDTV Near You

Ok, so that's a complete dramatization, of course. However, the new TV certainly isn't. While you're still trying to figure out how to work the HDTV you have, Panasonic will be unveiling their new high-end plasma this month. The 46-inch will run you $3,099 and the 50-inch will be $3,499. The 58- and 65-inch versions won't be available until the fall (we hope you can wait that long).

Another cool feature with this TV is that you can watch HD video content from a camcorder by simply inserting the SD memory card into the TV. Gone are the days of cables and cords, folks. This is the TV of the future! Matter of fact, didn't we something like this on the Jetsons? Hmm.

So, TV lovers, are you drooling yet? Is this something that you'd pay that kind of money for, or would you wait until the next big thing comes out and get a discount on this? [CNET]
