Facebook Says B-Y-E To Scrabulous

Facebook Says B-Y-E To Scrabulous

Well, it’s official. Scrabulous is no longer a working Facebook application. A couple of days ago we told you that Hasbro is suing the creators of Scrabulous for violating its copyright and trademarks on Scrabble. In order to avoid the lawsuit, Rajat and Jayan Agarwalla, brothers and creators of the Facebook application, decided that they would pull the plug on Scrabulous—at least for North America and Canada.

The avid users of Scrabulous who logged into Facebook ready to continue gaming were greeted with a non-working page that stated, “Scrabulous is disabled for U.S. and Canadian users until further notice. If you would like to stay informed about developments in this matter, please click here.” Hmm. We guess workers are just going to have to find a different way to distract themselves from their tasks.

If you must get your Scrabble fix, you can play the official Hasbro Scrabble application or visit the official Scrabulous web site.

We hear that a lot of Scrabulous fans are not too happy about Hasbro's Scrabble application. Any devoted Scrabulous fans out there? Tell us what you think about the Scrabble application! [MSNBC]

And suddenly employees across the country are more productive! Haha. It seemed like a time-killer alright!

I'm just amazed that people on Facebook use other applications besides Bumper Sticker! Now that's an application that's addicting.

However, I do remember playing Scrabble the board game at camp and it gets intense. People get competitive. There's just something about beating someones 5 letter word with... a 2 leter word. HA!
