I Can See You!
You’re walking around town and you remember one of your good friends is around for the day. Want to meet for lunch? Simple…if it didn’t take 20 text messages for her to get to the point and say where she is.
Enter Facebook. A new application makes it easy to play spy. Your magnifying glass? The Social Network Integrated Friend Finder, also known as Sniff. This application can be used on a computer or cell phone.
Useful Networks, the creator of Sniff, promises that this super-sneaky way to track down friends will only work for individuals who agree to be monitored. So, according to the company, you will be invisible if you don’t use the application. But if you do use it, you can still decide who can and cannot see your location.
Sounds nifty, right? Sure beats asking your perpetually late friend if she’s left the house yet. But along with becoming a super innovative application, Sniff’s text messages (that alert you of the location you have requested) will cost you over $1 to read. Is it worth the cash or would you rather spend a few more seconds typing out a text? [London Times]
