Work Kicks Facebook to the Curb
Facebook chat won’t be destroying AIM use in the office anytime soon. Libraries aren’t the only place that banning Facebook use—this year, 69% of employers surveyed put a stop to social networking during work hours, according to Online Recruitment.

And don’t think that just because your boss isn’t peeking over your shoulder, watching you browse your News Feed, that he or she doesn’t know about it. Informational technology departments have ways to monitor usage on the network, so nothing is a secret. Don’t become one of the many people that 79% of employers had to discipline for using social networks without permission. Tsk-tsk, back to your cubicle.
