Lost File; Vista Helps
Picture this: Last weekend, little cousin Jenny came over and left the sticky candy residue on your keyboard and mouse. Well, she also deleted your report that’s due in two days. And at just six-years-old, she’s smart enough to know you have to take the garbage out…and she emptied your Recycling Bin.
Take a deep breath and don’t panic—you have Vista. That’s right, the latest operating system from Microsoft has an automatic save built right in. Get access to your automatic saves by using ShadowExplorer. Copies of files are created and stored in folders automatically through Vista, but you need the program to access them. ShadowExplorer lets you manage and find those accidentally deleted files.
This may also be helpful if a program shuts down unexpectedly, and you hadn’t saved your work. You can restore your document and say thank you to your computer (and the developers!) for being so darn smart. [UneasySilence]
