Vista Troubles
We all have trouble with change. And it seems the switch to Windows Vista is causing some major problems for people. (Hey, that’s why we’re here right?)
With the deadline for the last sales of Windows XP nearing (June 30 is the current date), consumers are speaking out. Numerous blogs, cartoons and petitions have been plastered on the internet to get the mega-company’s attention. And Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s CEO, hints they may have to listen.
The company claims that most PCs purchased these days have the Windows Vista operating system. “That’s the statistical truth,” Ballmer says. “If customer feedback varies, we can always wake up smarter.”
Some 160,000 people have signed a “Save XP” web petition pushing the company to continue selling the older OS until the next Windows release (expected in 2010).
If Microsoft made the decision to keep selling computers with Windows XP, would you change back? [CNNMoney.com]
