Balancing Baby and a Business
It's hard enough to go back to work after having a baby, but what about running a business that requires as much of your attention as your child?
Lisa Druxman, a writer for Entrepreneur.com, examined this issue. She's a writer for the web site and the founder of Stroller Strides, a fitness program for moms and their kids. She says that when she talks to a lot of "mompreneurs" about how they balance the demands, she found that there is a lot of guilt that women feel about not having enough time to devote to all their obligations. She offers some advice from a book called Mommy Guilt: Learn to Worry Less, Focus on What Matters Most and Raise Happier Kids. The first and foremost tip? Be willing to let some things go and learn to live in the "moment" with your kids and your job. The key, she says, is to turn your guilt into gratitude and realize that you're lucky enough to have the best of both worlds. [Entrepreneur.com]
