There's a Baby in the Office
Trend alert: New moms don’t have to leave a newborn with a babysitter or daycare center when they go back to work. More than 80 companies across the country are allowing parents to bring their children to the office and take care of them at their desks. And some companies allow the parent to bring the child every day until it is able to crawl.
Companies are doing this to make it easier on new moms who are reluctant to go back to work and leave their babies at such a young age. This also breeds loyalty in working moms who are grateful for the opportunity to have the best of both worlds. However, workplace experts argue that this isn’t for every child and employees without children won’t want to put up with the distraction of having a baby in the office.
Do you think new moms should bring their children to the office? Would you be distracted if a coworker had a baby at her desk or would you be ok with it? [USA Today]
