Working Mom "Me" Time
Working moms are the ultimate givers. They give 100% of their energy to their families and 100% to their jobs. Did anyone notice that those numbers add up to 200%? That’s an impossible feat!
The point is, moms rarely find time for themselves because they are always doing for others. But in order to be really great working mom, you have to find some way to make time for yourself. Whether you take 20 minutes to watch your favorite show or one day a week you spend with your friends, you have to find ways to be away from the craziness and do something that nurtures your interests.
Before you verbalize the excuse of, “Oh, there’s not enough time,” or “I’ll get to it when I retire,” remember that you can’t really take care of other people until you take care of yourself. Plus, the last thing you want to do is resent your family or your job because you don’t have any “me” time.
We want to hear from you. As a working mom, how do you make time for yourself? If you’re new to his, how do you plan on taking care of yourself first? [Cnn.com]
